Lyric Murray-Walker

1. What’s your year, major and hometown?
I’m a junior; double majoring in archaeology and history; from Rochester, NY.

2. To what campus organizations or clubs are you a member?
I am a member of the Badminton Club.

3. What was the last book you read?
The Valley of Fear by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

4. What do you like to do for fun?
I like to read, watch movies, listen to music, and research Egypt.

5. What have you learned while working at the library?
Working at the circulation desk has given me some great customer service experience. Working at the library has also provided me with useful information            like how to find books using the Library of Congress system. I think my favorite        part of my job is working with and learning about the college history in the            archives.

 Junior

Creative Writing: Poetry

2. To what campus organizations or clubs are you a member?

Currently I am the Entertainment Editor for the Lycourier, a member of Fencing club, Secretary for the Equestrian club, and a member of English Society, UCM and CRU. I have learned so much about teamwork and made so many new friends by staying involved.

3. What was the last book you read?

The last book I read for fun was Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I love how she explores every aspect of relationships and love.

4. What do you like to do for fun?

I love to try new things like the time I tried eel sushi and loved it or when my friends and I discovered an antique shop that had postcards from the early 1900s.

5. What have you learned while working at the library?

I have learned so much about everything from excellent customer service to the ins and outs of EZ-Borrow and Interlibrary Loan to details about the Library of Congress Classification System and finding obscure books. I love helping people find what they need and working here has given me the tools to help.

    “Catcher in the Rye,” currently reading “The Master’s Muse”
  4. What do you like to do for fun? Hang out with friends, anything outdoors, reading, crafting, and playing piano
  5. What have you learned while working at the library?
    I’ve learned time management, new computer skills, how to archive things properly.

1. What’s your year, major and hometown?
I am a junior with a Religion and Art History double major and a minor in photography. My home town is Williamsport PA.

2. To what campus organizations or clubs are you a member?
None

3. What was the last book you read?
I am currently reading Timeline by Michael Crichton.

4. What do you like to do for fun?
I love being outdoors and going on hikes or to the river. I also enjoy playing video games and reading books as well as hanging out with friends and going to the movies.

5. What have you learned while working at the library?
I have learned so much by working at the library that I didn’t know beforehand. For example I learned about the library’s government documents section and how to properly organize/search for books. I have also learned how to navigate in the library and I have a much better understanding of the resources that Snowden Library provides.

    I am currently a junior and I am a dual major in history and political science with a minor in business management. My hometown is Jamesville, NY.
  2. To what campus organizations or clubs are you a member?
    I am a member of the Political Science Club, a Circulation Student worker at Snowden Library, and a tutor for studies buddies.

    Clifford the Big Red Dog
  4. What do you like to do for fun?
    I like to ski, swim, work out, play soccer, and read
  5. What have you learned while working at the library?
    I have learned where a lot of books are.

1. What’s your year, major and hometown?
I am a Junior with a major in photography & a minor in psychology. I live about a half hour away from campus in Lock Haven.
2. To what campus organizations or clubs are you a member?
I am a member of UCM.
3. What was the last book you read?
“The Pact” by Jodi Picoult
4. What do you like to do for fun?
I love to be outside & also to write poetry. Time with family and friends is always greatly appreciated.
5. What have you learned while working at the library?
I’ve learned that just like many things, working at Snowden is an opportunity to go an extra mile for someone, even if it is only helping them find a book. I’ve met many new people & enjoy it.
