Planning a trip? Snowden Library has books and government publications on display featuring nature at our national parks. Established in 1872 by an Act of Congress, the National Park System of the United States now comprises 390 areas covering more than 84 million acres. Located on the first floor, the display includes park location information, park handbooks, and numerous field guides for various flora and fauna, such as wild flowers, marine mammals and butterflies.
